Banana & Cinnamon Oats Benefits

This easy breakfast recipe is packed with energy, fibre, vitamins, and minerals, to help you start your day well. Here’s a closer look at the key ingredients…

Oats

Our breakfast base, oats are like the dependable friend you can count on. Full of fibre, they keep you full and provide a steady release of energy. No morning slumps here!

Almond Milk

For that creamy factor, almond milk steps in. It’s a dairy-free delight that adds a subtle nuttiness. Plus, it’s lighter on the calories, making it an excellent choice for those watching their intake.

Banana

Bananas are the unsung heroes of the breakfast table. They bring natural sweetness, potassium, and a delightful creaminess. Mashed, sliced, or both(!), they’ll give your morning meal a hint of the tropics.

Ground Cinnamon

Now, let’s talk about cinnamon – a spice that not only adds warmth but also has some surprising benefits. It’s anti-inflammatory, can aid digestion, and adds a comforting touch to your breakfast. But honestly I just add it because I love the flavour and it’s the perfect partner for creamy banana.

FAQs

Here are some of the most common questions about this recipe…

Q: Can I use regular cow’s milk instead of almond milk?

A: Absolutely! Almond milk is my personal preference, but feel free to use any milk you fancy.

Q: Can I prepare this the same morning instead of overnight?

A: Sure thing! The magic of overnight oats is in the convenience, but if you’re in a rush, a couple of hours in the fridge works too.

Q: Can I add the cinnamon the night before instead of in the morning?

A: Absolutely, adding cinnamon the night before gives it time to infuse (whereas sprinkling it on in the morning gives a more intense cinnamon hit).
