Hi! I’m Caroline, author of the top-selling recipe book ‘Healthy Overnight Oats’ and I’m so excited you’ve popped by the website.

You can learn a bit more about the book, blog, and me below, but the short version is…

  • In 2016 I wrote a book featuring some of my favourite recipes and published it on Amazon.
  • People really liked it, so I decided to share even more recipes and tips on this website…

Since writing the book, I studied a Masters Degree in Nutrition and qualified as a Nutritionist. So you can be confident that the recipes, ingredients, and nutrition snippets I’ll be sharing here are all legit.

How It All Started…

As a child in England, I grew up eating oatmeal (or porridge as we call it) as a treat only at weekends. There simply wasn’t enough time to prepare it on busy school-day mornings. 

I still remember my mum standing over the stove, stirring constantly until she got the perfect consistency. 

My dad would have his porridge with salt, in the traditional Scottish style. She would have a sprinkle of sugar on top, which promptly melted into a syrupy coating. And I would be allowed both sugar AND cinnamon, to appease my sweet tooth.

My Overnight Oats Obsession

Ever since those early days, I’ve loved experimenting with different flavour and texture combinations. To be honest, some of the results were quite horrendous. Others were unexpectedly good, but this website is a collection of the absolute best. My hope is that they’ll inspire you to try a few new ideas, and make healthy breakfasts a daily habit.

The Book

My overnight oats obsession eventually resulted in a book (available from Amazon). It features 50 delicious recipes, made from nutritious ingredients, so you can start your day the best possible way.

From strawberry sundae to spiced apple, and banana cappuccino to lemon and raspberry, it includes both classic flavours and innovative ingredient combinations, that will nourish your body.

Plus it includes advice about healthy ingredient selection, so you don’t inadvertently sabotage your wholesome breakfast. Save time, minimise washing up and enjoy a healthy breakfast daily, with these inspiring recipes.

To be honest, I was happy just to have published the book. But over the years, people have left really lovely reviews about how much they loved the recipes and how it’s inspired them to eat more healthily. So, I decided to create this website where I can share the recipes and practical tips more widely.

Another unexpected thing happened along the way… I started the OvernightOatsCo Instagram account where I showcase tasty recipes made by other people around the world. And despite my neglecting it for years, the following has steadily grown, primarily due to the incredible recipes people share.

So, the Overnight Oats Community (Co) was born.

In the coming months, we’ll be featuring recipes from our followers and readers, along with my own. We want this website to become the hub for all things overnight oats. Which means sharing recipes, tips, and ideas from everyone (not just our own).
